Lestermoney of Holland Meissner Company recently completed some research on mutual funds.  Now rather than offer you hundreds of pages of research and tables, Lestermoney will simply sum up some of the findings in this edition.  According to research that I conducted on over 347 mutual funds, I found that funds that have higher turnover offer a higher return.

Turnover is simply saying that managers who buy and sell often tend to offer a higher return.  So, if you are investing in mutual funds, request turnover rates from your broker. Most –if not all–funds should have this information readily available.

Another interesting finding is that funds that charge a higher expense are more likely to offer a high return.  So, there you have it. Another article in plain English from LesterMoney to you. Simple, to the point, and right on time.

Thank you for your attention,
